Bottles all ready for Lamb and Calf feeding, this will keep them going for a few hours, then we do it all again, but it is well worth the effort in the end, to have wonderful tasting lamb and rose veal.

New Baby’s

We have more new baby Lambs at the farm this year, here are 2 of the latest arrivals on their way home from the livestock market in the back of the car, soon to join their friends in the barn.

Our venture into Rose Veal

Image

Often when Dairy Cows have bull calves they are surplus to the dairy industries needs, so many of these calves come to an early end, and this is such a waste.

Traditionally Veal has a bad reputation becuase of the poor treatment of the animals, but there is a growing movement of people who are raising the bull calves for the exquisite rose veal.

The calves we are raising for rose veal are free running and will have had a wonderful life.

If you would like to know more on this subject which we are very passionate about, then please get in touch.

We are planning to have our first rose veal available in the autumn.
